Matthew Kevin Shaw
Matthew Kevin Shaw- Born June 26th 1998 in Prince Edward Island at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Son of Kevin and Shannon, brother of Daniel and Samantha. Lived in Pisquid for his first sixteen years. Traveled to Alberta, British Columbia and Mexico. He was in judo and wrestling for three years, he competed in Novia Scotia and New Brunswick. He gave it up and started his next passion with motocross. He took great pride in it. He spent a lot of time and money for this and has made his appearance in many YouTube videos. He crashed his bike in his grade eight year at Mount Stewart Consolidated and missed out on the grade eight trip activity's. He has been interested in aviation since he was a young child and he would like to become a pilot. The motocross accident hurt his leg really bad and he had to go to the physiotherapist. He couldn't bend his leg but by the end of it his leg would go straight. It bothered him for a number of years and he couldn't do certain things. He learned that wearing shorts on a dirt bike isn’t a good idea even if you aren’t on the race track. Never drove his dirt bike without all equipment on. When my brother and sister moved away it has been different. In grade seven I was really good at high jump so I was getting ready for track and field at lunch break at Mount Stewart school. I was jumping good and then the bar was over my head so I had a big jump ahead of me, I made it over the bar but I was moving so fast and jumped so high that I landed on the gym floor giving me a concussion. I dont remember feeling it I just remember a few people standing over me and I insantly got up not knowing what happened. I was then taken to the hospital and they told me that I couldnt play sports for a few weeks and to take it easy. I never did high jump since this day but they moved the high jump to outside after that happened. Being home alone is a lot different with nobody to argue with and nobody to cook me food.
Samantha Lynn Shaw

Samantha Lynn Shaw
Born: June 27, 1994 at the QEH in Charlottetown
Middle child of 3 and only girl.
In the summers when she was younger she would spend them at her grandparents playing hide and seek with her first cousins. It became a family tradition to go camping every year since she was 7 or 8. She was in many different activities like 4-H, Swimming, and Judo. In judo she spent a lot of time training for tournaments or at training camps off Island. She worked very hard with school and ended up graduation with honors. She did not attended post-secondary schooling yet as she is still unsure what career to pursue. Right now she is living in Alberta working as a dental receptionist.
“Some fun memories from Judo would be going to Montreal, there was five other
team members with our two coaches and myself. You don't know over tired until
you go to school all day, have a two hour practice and then leave for Montreal at 11 at night. Three hours into our drive one of the other girls decided she was going to lay on the floor and go to sleep. She slept 5 hours through multiple stops and our outrageous unflattering singing with many things piled on top of her.”
“Camping for me meant: sleeping in a tent, having barbecue food every day for
almost every meal, toughing it out even when it is torrential down pouring out (having tents flood and hiding under tarps) , and spending every hour outside playing ball, swimming, biking, mini golf and so much more. Every year we would have a huge group of family and friends that would join us making it even more special.”

Daniel Sterling Shaw
Daniel Sterling Shaw, Born June 18, 1990 at the Queen Elizabeth hospital. Attended school at Mount Stewart Consolidated and Morell high. He lived in Pisquid but moved to Charlottetown after getting his red seal in welding.
Daniel was a busy baby that cried a lot and did many interesting things. When he was about five years old Daniel got a new bike so he kept going as fast as he could then run into a big concrete step. After doing that a few times he split his head open and had to be taken to the hospital for stitches.
There was a truck parked at the top of a hill and Daniel managed to bust into it. Daniel being very young put the truck into neutral and it started to coast down the hill. He ducked down and made himself into a ball waiting for impact. The truck ran into his father’s nice car and destroyed it all the way to the junk yard but Daniel was okay.
